PCA Training Program
At Ease Home Care is both pleased and proud to announce that we now offer the Personal Care Aide Certification Course!
Personal Care Aide Course
The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) allows personal care and private duty companies to provide and offer a Personal Care Aide (PCA) training course. The curriculum has been developed by DMAS to establish uniform training guidelines for personal care aides. A minimum of 40 hours of training is required. Only graduates of the PCA course are authorized to provide personal care aid to Medicaid recipients with a waiver.
All students must understand that this program will not be recognized by the Virginia State Board of Nursing, nursing and medical facilities, or other state nursing boards, but only by DMAS Waiver programs. Additionally, completion of this program does not guarantee placement in a particular job, and all candidates for employment must be able to pass a background check free and clear of any barrier crimes that may potentially disqualify them from working as a personal care aide.
